Vector at Heart Rhythm 2025: Innovation, Insights & Interactive Fun

We brought the fun to HRS2025! This year’s annual Heart Rhythm Society meeting buzzed with one clear theme: HRS guideline-directed remote monitoring is here to stay! At the Vector Remote Care exhibit, we paired forward-thinking strategy and hands-on tech with a healthy dose of gamified competition. The result? A high-energy experience packed with meaningful conversations around the future of remote monitoring data management (RMDM)—and the very real barriers holding it back.

Leading the Charge: Revaluing CPT Code 93296

One topic dominated discussion across the convention floor: How can clinics achieve the mandate of the 2023 HRS Consensus statement for Guideline Directed Remote Monitoring (GDRM) when reimbursement models haven’t kept up?

At the heart of this misalignment lies reimbursement for CPT code 93296, which covers the technical component of remote interrogation for ICDs and Pacemakers. Today’s rate—just $19.41 per patient every 90 days—reflects outdated 2018 cost assumptions and amounts to an hourly rate of ~ $14/HR. Clinics are now grappling with a $60+ shortfall per patient, every 90 days. The results? Risks of delayed care and missed or late interventions, plus covering the cost of additional labor required to meet clinical needs–without being compensated for it.

As a founding member of the Cardiac Device Patient Monitoring Association (CDPMA), Vector is helping lead the industry-wide charge to revalue 93296 to $79.57, based on updated labor inputs, staff classifications, and modern monitoring workflows. This isn’t just reimbursement reform—it’s a clinical imperative.

The buzz at HRS2025 made one thing clear: everyone’s naming and claiming the challenge, but few have a path forward. At Vector, we’re building that path—starting with tools that make GDRM not just aspirational, but achievable.

Vector Platform Demos: Built For the Reality of RMDM

Amid all the talk of guidelines and gaps, our demos cut straight to the point: You can’t do RMDM without patient connectivity. It’s the critical step—if patients aren’t connected and communicating on schedule, the whole model collapses.

That’s why the Vector Platform was engineered to deliver what other platforms can not. With Vector, clinics can begin with a 90%+ chance of successful patient connectivity—the real-world baseline for GDRM success. From there, Vector automates triage, streamlines alert review, and consolidates workflows across all major device vendors.

Live demos gave attendees a front-row seat to this transformation. They saw how Vector helps clinics work smarter—not harder—through automated reporting, anywhere/anytime access, and automated workflows that simplify all aspects of RMDM.

The message that resonated? RMDM either starts—or ends—with connectivity. With Vector, you’re starting strong.

The Vector Platform Challenge: Clinic Skills
Put to the Test

The benefits and advantages of our solution came to life through the Vector Platform Challenge—a lifelike simulation game where clinicians raced to triage alerts and make smart decisions under pressure. Dozens joined in, including top-scorer Alicia Porter of Commonspirit Virginia Mason, who among other top scorers took home an Oura Ring as a reminder of how important physiologic monitoring is to us and our patients. The fun ran deep—but so did the insights. As participants played, many recognized the real-world complexity and time crunch that clinics face every day. It was gamified proof that the need for better tools isn’t theoretical—it’s urgent.

Moments That Mattered: What We Heard

Untitled (10)

Whether in sessions or at our booth, we heard the same refrain again and again: Achieving guideline directed remote monitoring is extremely challenging. And the consensus committee’s recommendation to consider 3rd party resources (like Vector) for RMDM is a clear path forward. Clinicians want to deliver on the promise of GDRM—but they need tools and reimbursement models that reflect reality.

Conversations ranged from CMS compliance to connectivity strategy. But at their core, they all circled back to this truth: Better remote monitoring starts with better support—for both patients and clinics.

At Vector, we’re here to deliver exactly that. We’re not just innovating—we’re enabling the real work that drives better outcomes.
